Come join us in Godfrey, IL this September 24th, 2017 where we will hold a special event that will focus on helping you achieve spiritual and physical balance.
Tickets are $60 and can be purchased through our Eventbrite page. All participants must be at least 21 years of age.
It will start with an educational workshop on the traditions and symbols of the Aztec and Lakota Nations which are represented in the practice of the local Descending Eagle Community based in St Louis and Denver Colorado. We will be learning about the history of the community and it’s practice.
The voluntary sweat lodge experience, led by Native American Visionary Tokani Montez, will start with a guided movement series led by Liam Springer to salute the directions, then 4 ceremonial doors with drumming and songs. In each Door we will address the relationship the individuals’ whole-being has with the area of focus in the body.
There is no exclusionary religious affiliation associated with this event and each individual is invited to come with there own set of beliefs and intentions.
Each participant should bring clothes which are suitable for moment and sweat as well as three towels. A yoga mat is optional.
There will be a full meal afterwards provided by Crystal Stevens of Grow Create Inspire and beverages from Old Bakery Brewery.
Tokani Montez is a Visionary. He has been studying the Ancient Traditions of his own Mexica Aztec Tribe as well as the Grandmother Culture the Maya since he was an adolescent under his uncle Temok Mosqueda. As a young Sundancer he was brought into the mentorship of Harry Charger as well as Robert Crow. This rare lineage has given him a unique orientation to the traditional Medicines. Tokani has the ability to bring a deep and broad representation of the authentic practices of North and Central American Native Cultures to the healing experiences he envisions.
In addition to his Soma Training and Soma Therapy accreditations, Liam is a Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) and Corrective Exercise Specialist (CES) through PTA Global, and the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). He is accredited as an exercise therapist through the Corrective Holistic Exercise Kinesiology (CHEK) Institute in San Diego, CA, and is a C.H.E.K. Practitioner Level 2, that includes training to design highly specific corrective exercise programs.
Mr. Springer is highly trained and has consulted with hundreds of clients in the U.S. and internationally. He is a C.H.E.K. Certified Holistic Lifestyle Coach, and has mentored under some of the most recognized coaches in Holistic Health. He has also completed the extensive Anthropedia Well-being Coach Training Course under the worlds leading researcher of mental well-being Dr. Robert Cloninger M.D. and his associates.
