The coffee scene in St. Louis is alive and well. Whether you’re a local or you’re just in town for a few days attending our ELDOA or SomaTraining courses, here’s a list of great coffee shops in St. Louis guaranteed to serve up a seriously good cup of joe.
1. Blueprint Coffee
Check out Blueprint for tremendous coffee and espresso made by award-winning baristas. The original location in the Delmar Loop also features an excellent breakfast and lunch menu. Converted from an old auto repair station, the second location in Lindenwood Park is smaller with limited food options. Locals love to pick up donuts from Knead Bakehouse and then head to this unique cafe for a delicious cup of coffee.
2. RISE Coffee House
RISE is a local favorite located on Manchester Avenue in The Grove. It features fantastic coffee drinks as well as strong neighborhood and community vibes. They have a yummy breakfast and lunch menu, a play area for kids, a quiet room, and an outdoor patio.
3. Sump Coffee
Visit Sump Coffee for a truly superb cup of handcrafted coffee. Hang out at the pour-over bar, grab a table made from reclaimed wood, and enjoy the unique decor in this historic South City building. You may even catch a glimpse of coffee beans being roasted on site in the back of the shop.
4. Comet Coffee
Comet Coffee serves excellent coffee, tea, and espresso drinks. They also offer a sizable pastry menu featuring croissants made from scratch. Their main location is on Oakland Avenue, near the St. Louis Science Center and Forest Park.
5. Kaldi’s Coffee
Kaldi’s is a mainstay when it comes to great coffee shops in St. Louis. The original cafe is located on De Mun Avenue, near Forest Park and Washington University. But there are multiple Kaldi’s locations throughout St. Louis, including a beautiful glass-walled cafe at Citygarden in Downtown St. Louis and a large cafe in Kirkwood.
6. Park Avenue Coffee – Cortex
Cortex Innovation Community is a 200-acre innovation hub and technology district in the Central West End. If you’re in the area on a weekday, swing by for a cup of coffee or a slice of gooey butter cake at Park Avenue Coffee.
